About Citing Sources

For each type of source in this guide, both the general form and a specific example will be provided.

The following format will be used:

In-Text Citation- entry that appears in the body of your paper.

Reference List- entry that appears at the end of your paper.

Information was drawn from Scientific style and format : the CSE manual for authors, editors, and publishers.

Technical Report

The general format and example below refers to a technical report.

When a technical report is written by one organization and sponsored by another, include the name of the organization that performed the research in parentheses after the author, as well as the publication information for the sponsoring organization.

General Format

In-Text Citation:

Reference List:
Author AA, Author BB. Date. Title of report. Edition. Place of publication: Publisher. Extent. Report No.: Notes.
