Open Education Week

The 11th annual Open Education Week (OE Week) (6-10 March 2023) is approaching! This is a week to raise awareness and highlight Open Education, which includes open educational resources, open pedagogy/practices, and open research practices. It’s a chance to learn more about open education and be inspired by the work that is being developed.

This year, OE Week is being hosted by the TRU Library in collaboration with TRUSU and TRU's Open Education Working Group (OEWG)

Open Education is an international event, and there are events that highlight what’s happening at TRU via the TRU Library's OE Week offerings, the Open Education Talks, and BCcampus' BCOEL.

NOTE: All sessions will be online either via Teams or Zoom.

Open Education Talks

Open Education Talks is series of lightning talks focusing on open education in post-secondary institutions. This joint initiative of Concordia University (Edmonton), Thompson Rivers University, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, and University of British Columbia seeks to create an accessible, virtual space to engage in conversations about open education. Talks will be held every Wednesday in March from 11am to 12:30 Pacific Time (12pm-1:30 Mountain Time) via the University of Calgary's Zoom.

Check out the schedule (https://oetalks.opened.ca/) and then register to attend. (Please note that the registration system is via the University of Calgary, so their schedule is in Mountain Time).
