Open Education Week 2024

The 12th annual Open Education Week (OE Week) (4-8 March 2024) is approaching! This is a week to raise awareness and highlight Open Education, which includes open educational resources, open pedagogy/practices, and open research practices. It’s a chance to learn more about open education and be inspired by the work that is being developed.

This year, OE Week is being hosted by the TRU Library in collaboration with TRU's Open Education Working Group (OEWG) and TRU Open Press.

Open Education is an international event, and there are events that highlight what’s happening at TRU via the TRU's OE Week offerings, the Open Education Talks, and BCcampus' BCOEL.

Stay tuned for more information, but here's a hint about what we're planning:

This joint initiative of Thompson Rivers University, University of Alberta, and University of Calgary seeks to create an accessible, virtual space to engage in conversations about open education. Talks will be held every Wednesday in March from 11am to 12:30 Pacific Time (12pm-1:30 Mountain Time) via the University of Calgary's Zoom.
