In the past three years, the technicians responsible for the Library’s display space have expanded their role from updating a single physical display case to maintaining multiple displays, creating most library signage, planning and assessing Social Media activity, and coordinating full promotional campaigns. This increased scope of responsibility has required more teamwork as well as increased collaboration with librarians in other service areas and with faculty across campus; it has also required ongoing professional development to acquire the skills needed to take on new roles and challenges. In doing so, the Display Team has become the library’s source of expertise in putting not just our books on display, but in how we present ourselves to the campus, the local community, and the world.
