The running head on the title page is much like the running head on subsequent pages, except that it is preceded by the phrase "Running head":
Running head: LONG TERM EFFECTS OF UNEMPLOYMENT 1
The title should be positioned in the top half of the page and centred between the left and right margins. Major words should be capitalized, and if the title runs to more than one line, then it should be double spaced:
Long Term Effects of Parental Unemployment During the 2008 Recession:
The Relationship between Unemployment and School Success in Adolescents
The byline and affiliation go right under the title:
Albert A. Author
Thompson Rivers University
If your paper includes an author’s note, it should start in the middle of the page.
If your paper includes an abstract, it goes on the second page and the main text of your paper begins on the third page. If your paper does not include an abstract, then the main text begins on the second page.
