"Winter"

Whether it's your favourite...or least favourite season, winter inevitably comes upon us with its snow, ice, blistering winds and frigid temperatures. Officially starting on Winter Solstice (December 21st) and ending at Spring Equinox (around March 20th) in the northern hemisphere, winter is a season that many either love or despise. While it may feel like it is the longest season, due to the bleak weather and lingering snow, winter is actually the shortest out of the four seasons, as at this time of year, the earth is closest to the sun and thus orbits faster.

Though it may be cold, winter is the perfect time to go out to explore and embrace what this season has to offer. Whether you're into winter sports, winter photography, or nature walks in the snow, there's plenty to learn about in this month's book display.
