What is an Article Database?

An article database is a searchable collection of resources like scholarly journal articles, magazine and newspaper articles, etc. Unlike general web searches, article databases provide access to reliable, often peer-reviewed sources. Examples of article databases include Academic Search Complete, JSTOR, and PubMed.

TRU Library's Discovery Search tool is great for exploring a topic broadly across multiple article databases and other collections (e.g. books, media, etc.). For a more focused search, try a single database (e.g. PsycINFO for psychology topics, or JSTOR for history).
