Problems: Please contact the TRU Library's Interlibrary Loan department (ill@tru.ca) as soon as possible. Do not contact the lending library directly. If necessary/applicable, we will work with the lender to resolve the problem.
The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service allows current TRU students, faculty, and staff to obtain materials not available at the TRU Library. Alumni and community members should use their local public library for this service.
You can request books, articles, book chapters, and other materials through ILL. However, please note that this service is intended to support research, employment, and coursework at XYZ. For personal reading materials, please use your local public library.
Important: Do not request textbooks through interlibrary loan.
TRU has implemented a new cloud-based interlibrary loan management system called Tipasa. This system will allow you to place interlibrary loan requests and track your requests. You will need to use your TRU account credentials (i.e., T-ID and whatever password you use to access Moodle, Eduroam WiFi, etc.) to set up your account. You no longer need to use a Library PIN to request interlibrary loans.
You may choose to enable text message updates in addition to the messages sent to your tru/mytru email. Go to the Communications Preferences section of the Your ILL Account tab for more information.
A link to the article/chapter you requested will be available via your Tipasa account for 14 days and can be used to view the article up to 5 times. Please print or save the article to access it beyond these limits.
