1) Enter your search term "graphic novels" or "comic books, strips, etc." in the Discover box on the library's home page.  This will search for the term across several library holdings including print and electronic books, newspapers, journals, and media.

2) Choose the "Books & Media" tab on the library's home page and enter search term "graphic novels" or "comic books, strips, etc." in the search box.

Call Number Range

Graphic Novels tend to be in the following LC call number range:

PN 6727-6790 Comic books, strips, etc. (Graphic Novels)

But there are exceptions. When using the library catalogue, perform a subject search for "graphic novels" to see a more comprehenisve list of all TRU Library's graphic novels, movies adapted from graphic novels, and books about graphic novels.

Manga

What is Manga?

"Manga loosely refers to a style of cartoons originating in Japan. They are usually published in installments, and depending on their form, can be several hundred pages long. Many different genres are available, so they are popular with people of all ages and backgrounds. Known for their in-depth plots and characters, these well-respected works have been drawn for hundreds of years, although the modern version developed starting in the mid-20th century."~WiseGeek.com Click here for a more in depth definition of Manga.

You may be asking yourself what's the difference between comics, graphics novels and Manga? There is a great blog post explaining those differences here.
