Contains citations and abstracts of the worldwide literature from approximately 2100 journals and, since 1980, books and dissertations on political, diplomatic, economic, social, cultural and intellectual history and related areas of the social sciences and humanities. Covers the history of the world since 1450 except for the United States and Canada.
Book. Provides an overview of each topic, suggesting the most informative secondary scholarship and drawing attention to the main themes, changes, and controversies in interpretation and presentation of history.
