What is a top 500 Article?

Harvard Business Review maintains an ever-changing list of its 500 most popular articles. These articles are restricted to "read-only" status; they cannot be downloaded or printed, and can only be read online.

To identify whether an article is in the HBR500, follow the steps below.

 

Search for article title in quotation marks.

Click the link in the yellow bar (when off-campus) to access resources. Click title for more information.

Usually, a top 500 article is identified by the yellow bar above the article title. It notes that there is limited access to the article and that it cannot be printed or saved. This is read online only.

Please note: Because of inconsistencies in EBSCO, you might not see a yellow warning bar above the article. To identify whether this is a top 500 article, when you click "print", you will only be allowed to print the publication information page (1 page). See below for an example.
