A database is a searchable collection of information. In library research, a database is where you find periodical articles. Each database contains thousands of articles that can be searched simultaneously and quickly to find articles with higher relevancy than searching in individual journals. Depending on the database, the content may include books, book chapters, encyclopedia articles, specialized reports and other information.
In addition to "Search the Library", which searches across most of the Library's databases and the library's book and audiovisual catalogue, individual databases can also be searched. Below are links to a few recommended databases.
