Changing your library PIN

The TRU Library's computer system issues each library account a PIN (Personal Identification Number), which allows you to perform many functions (renew books online, place holds on items already checked out, etc...) and to gain access to licensed library resources off-campus. Returning students/faculty will need to come to the library to reactivate your library account. Your library PIN will be the same as last year. However, if you've never activated your library account or are new to TRU, your initial library PIN is based on your 6-digit birthdate (YYMMDD). For obvious security reasons, PINs can not be issued over the telephone.'

NOTE: Distance, Regional, and Open Learning students, if you have not already received the library's email letting you know how to access TRU Library resources, please fill out an online form to set up your TRU Library account.

It is a good idea to change your PIN to something that is easy for you to remember. You PIN can be a combination of letters and numbers. Be aware that our automated system is case-sensitive. (i.e. the password "shadow1" is not the same as "Shadow1" or "SHADOW1").
