eBooks

Use Discover, a search tool found on TRU Library home page,  to find ebooks across several TRU library collections.

This single search-box facilitates your ability to connect to print and online resources licensed by the TRU Library:

• journal articles
• books
• magazine articles
• dissertations
• videos
• maps

Follow these steps to find eBooks using Discover:

• Enter your search terms in the search box on the library homepage and click Search.
  • Note: If you are looking for a specific ebook, use the title of the book, NOT the chapter title.
• Under Content Type located in the left-hand side navigation pane, select Show More
  ​
  • Note: If BOTH eBooks and  Books appear on the main list of content type options, you can check them both off on the main page without going to "show more"

• Check off BOTH ebooks and books (if both are available) and then click on the update button.
  

• Scroll down, and click on the word Location on the left-navigation bar to open up the options. Then, click on Online.
  

• The results should now all be eBooks. To access the full-text:
  • "Online Access": click on that link to access the eBook.
    
  • "PDF Full Text": click on that link to view the full eBook.
    
    • Click on "Table of Contents" to go directly to a specific chapter.
    • Click on "Most Relevant Pages from this eBook" to see the pages that Discover thinks would be most useful to you.
